Nan Sho Budo

Nan Sho is based around the traditions of Kempo Jujutsu, Progressive Arnis, and Modular Blade Concepts. The primary teaching philosophy of the Nan Sho system is to teach techniques and principles that are practical to all body types and age levels. The techniques taught hold elements of both control and quick combat effectiveness. The methods of self defense taught are not meant for competition and are viewed as necessary for the protection and advancement of the self and others.

Nan Sho Budo students and instructors expand their knowledge and skill sets by traveling to Martial Arts seminars around the country. Nan Sho schools also hosts seminars featuring teachers of various styles.

Training in Nan Sho Budo is formatted to teach both external and internal martial arts. Through continued practice and guidance, students often discover improved posture, confidence, physical awareness, and steadfast technique. The education received in this system is personalized to every student and often serves as a path to self discovery. Instructors in Nan Sho Budo are required to train in various martial disciplines in order to understand the perspective of students with and without prior training. Taught in a family friendly atmosphere, the Nan Sho Budo system is applicable to all body types, genders, ages, and physical fitness levels.
